My long association with pubs began in 1950 when my father took over as manager of The Lion with a weekly wage of  £6 10s per week, "to include the services of the wife" (Mum).

Super Constellation BarSuper Constellation Bar, Malta

I spent a month in Malta and did not find a decent place to drink. This place was interesting because the aircraft had been used for illegal gun running into Africa. The crew abondoned it at Luqa and dissappeared, the aircraft was sold to pay for unpaid landing fees and converted into a bar.
